I love books, reading, and promoting literacy in all its forms, but am surprisingly unwell-read for being a librarian. Along with travel and family/friend adventures, I'll share my book-guilt over all the books I've never read (but feel like I should have).

I don't have the patience to post all of my pictures from Nashville yet, but I set this picture as my desktop background because giraffes are that much favorite. I could have spent all day long photo-stalking these animals.
Surprise event of the weekend: My newest niece was born Saturday morning at 5:41, and guess when she was due - November 5th. Just in case you're confused or a little out of touch, Saturday was not November 5th. It was, in fact, October 17th, meaning she was in such a hurry to reach the world that she came three weeks early! Crazy kid. Needless to say, she's tiny. 4 pounds, 11 ounces kind of tiny. But, she is absolutely beautiful and has one heck of a big sister: "Psy'renee Alayna Dennis" - I'm pretty sure her name is bigger than she is. Paris holding her baby sister's hand. Tender. He is a very twitchy performer; it was hard to get a clear picture. He sang, he joked, he took Darell's jacket, he imitated Ray Charles... He was absolutely hilarious. And I loved him on Sesame Street. Famous person number two, and I still can't get over this: Enrique Iglesias. When in my life would I ever actually see him in a live performance? That's right. Never. This may come as a shocker, so prepare yourself, but he's not actually the greatest singer. He's really very pitchy, but his earpiece-thing came out, so I'll try not to judge too harshly. Also, he's very pretty, and, he jumped off the stage and came out into the crowd about te...
